Shouldn't headlights by aimed at the center of the screen?

I understand that in "real life", you usually adjust your headlight to see whats on the ground ahead of you, but it doesn't translate well in DayZ. Right now that makes searching around and aiming quite difficult as the light is aimed below the center of the screen. If you try to aim at a zombie in pitch black darkness, you simply won't see it unless it's right in your face.

Flashlights are treated like weapons so there is a holding position and an 'armed' position. Like phl0gist0n said, space bar will alternate between the two.

I'm talking about headlamps, not flashlights. If you are aiming a weapon, you can't use that command to raise the headlamp, which is pointing at the ground and not ahead.

My bad, by "headlights", I kind of thought he simply meant the light beam from the flashlight.

 

I guess I browsed a little bit too casually this time.

Yes, they do not emit any light to the enviorment unless you are playing on the server you found it on. 

So they are useless. For now.
