I'm a Bandit, not a murder! [Full Looting, Stuns and Dogtags]

Recommended Posts

I am sorry to say this, but if I see someone who looks like they might have better survival gear than me I hunt them down, kill them and take there gear. It's though I know, and It breaks my heart every time, but I don't have a choice! If I want the loot I have to kill them, otherwise I can only search there backpacks, and that's normally not where the good stuff is. So make it so I can rob peoples backpack, beltitems and everything, without beaching them :D.

Also I know there has been allot of people suggesting stun weapons, or melee stun function on the weapons, which I of course support. Cause everybody knows people can't be trusted if you do a hold up. (tranquillising dart's for the crossbow would be awesome!)

Last but not least, I think it would be cool if there where dog tags! Not something that would take up space in the inventory but something you collect when you have killed someone, and if you kill someone you should be able to see how many dog tags he has collected. That way you can keep "score" (if that's how you play) but you are also able to see if the guy you just killed was a real scum, and if he killed you in the past.

dogtags is good but killing player for better gear is for scums...

reinforce it by having 50-75% of the players gear vanish if they are murdered... makes killing less worth while.

possibly have bandit kills yield full gear.

@ EvilNickolas

Very good idea, or make the item's blood stained, so they need to be washed or something. Altleast make it more profitable to rob than to kill.

@Haplo

Well I, would think most robbery's would deal with an unconscious player as soon as the stuns is implemented. If not a player should get an accept/refuse option if someone tries to take his weapon in a hold up.

Its good how he plays.

I hate Bandits BUT he plays it the right way. Killing for Loot. Not like some assholes sniping people, which just spawned, for fun.

Perhaps add an interaction option which allows you to subdue and disarm other players. This requires you to gain some level trust or to be very sneaky in order to rob them. Once you've subdued them you have a short amount of time to loot and run off.

As for non-lethal weaponry, this could consist of tasers and pepper spray. Tasers of course would knock the person down, render them immobile and incapable of attacking for a short time. While pepper spray only obscures their vision, but makes it easier to manually subdue them.

Awesome, I like all the ideas you posted here. Lets be honest if I come up behind you I win. So why not let me butt stroke you and take your stuff instead of having to kill you?

Maybe even something like an electric cattle prod (could be found in barns/farms) that is a melee wapon used to stun just like a taser. Cattle prod could be found slightly easier than a taser (IMO tasers should spawn in baracks/military buildings) but the downside is they wouldnt subdue enemies for as long as a taser. (meaning you must decide what you want quickly and gtfo of there) <---- also might mean someone doesnt have enough time to rob EVERYTHING on you, leaving you with some items left at least.

Ohh yes a pepper spray, that is a cool idea. Tricky to use but i'm sure it could make some funny encounters :D. U have my beans bro!!
