This really annoying thing has happened to me 20 times now.

 

I logout somewhere then I login and suddenly I am respawning. This has happened to much and it must be some bug or glitch. Sometimes it happens when I am in the middle of an open field, or hidden in a house. I don't think it is because I die when I spawn because that would be big coincidence since it has happened atleast 9 times in 2 days.

 

Is someone aware of this and is there a fix or should I just accept it and restart whenever it happens ?

Myself I don't care that much because I like to start over but it is annoying.

 

So anyone got any ideas ?

This is a known issue.

 

For what it's worth, I've been sticking to 1 specific server for the most part and the worst I've encountered was spawning at the coast once with all my gear intact.

i had this to and i think i know whats wrong.

 

if you change the server or relog and if you spawn with a new character dont move and relog again. most of the time you should get back your old character.

 

my friend got this issue yesterday and he relogged 2-3 times but didnt got his character back and he stopped playing for the day. A day later he logged in back and had this old character. 

 

so the issue might be that the server lose the connection to the hive and cannot ask the data base if you have already a character, so you get a new one. but if you dont play with the new character the server will not overwrite it if the connection to the data base is back.

 

that means if you lose your character to a server change or relog just make a break and wait a bit.

Happened again, lost my character when I changed computer this time...

 

Are there any fixes ?

Need to wait patches but i think experimental version has maybe fix for it.
