Fire Axe only plausible weapon?

Zombies get knocked down when punched in the face just like players do. I have killed them in less hits more safely with my fists than I have with any other weapon aside from the fire axe.

 

circle strafe like Ali and you'll be fine.

 

Nah that's ok. The Fire Axe is the only suitable melee weapon if you're wanting to swiftly dispatch the annoying  Zombies in Dayz.

Depends on where you hit with the splitting axe, it can take two hits.

You are right. My aiming is so good that I did not notice it until a week later. :P
