AlchyMcAlcherson 7 Posted December 31, 2013 (edited) Hey all, was just curious, is Dayz known as more of a CPU intensive game? Having some meh results in Standalone System: Gigbyate GA-P55-UD3R Moboi5 750 QuadcoreGigbyate GTX 760 OC ( Upgraded from Radeon HD5850)16GB DDR3 Getting around 30FPS to higher ( currently tested in NW Airfield). I've read about different ways to increase FPS, and nothing so far has given me a huge gain. I've tried other games with huge improvements ( the new card roughly shows 100% gain in FPS), but this game did not seem to yield greate results. It certainly seems to work better, but the FPS gain is very minimal. The cpu is a bit dated, but everything I've read and experienced shows that it would be at minimal a tiny bottleneck. Or is this just a case of bad performance that most people receive? Edited December 31, 2013 by AlchyMcAlcherson
kugane 4 Posted December 31, 2013 you graphics card is not the best (but good enough for low-normal) & the core is a very old shit and limit the speed of your gpu! a newer core would good sry, my english is not so good :-)
colekern 1364 Posted December 31, 2013 The processor is the main problem.
terminal_boy 860 Posted December 31, 2013 It's your CPU.And you'll need a new motherboard too as Socket 1156 was a developmental dead-end.
knight210 2 Posted January 1, 2014 I would upgrade the CPU, which also means you're gonna want to upgrade the mobo as well. I have a radeon 7790, which is inferior to yours, and dayz is still playable with no micro-stutters.
