How to put items inside the backpack?

Hi, i played dayz for a few hours, and i don't know 1 thing.

How to put items inside my backpack? I mean, i tried to do it, but the items (DMR magazines) just disappeared. There was enought space in the backpack to put them inside. The only way i can put items inside the backpack is when i find some loot, and then open the backpack.

Can someone explain how to do it without the need to find loot? ;/

Open your inventory by pressing "G", click on the backpack, and click open backpack. You won't really see it open, but it actually is. From there just go to anything in your inventory, highlight it on your list, and click the left arrow button by the item. You should be good.
