Rocket said : Cannibalism will be eventually part of the game

Sure put it in.But considering that food is very easy to obtain i don't think it will be necessary.

iirc adding cannibalism would/will get the game banned in several countries

Many movies (ie:Alive), books (ie:the road), and even games (ie:The last of us) features cannibalism. Some countries just ban stuff for various reasons, that seldom prevents the population to actually get such medias, just makes it harder.

As long as it doesn't "promote" it, most evolved countries don't care much I think, bit like racism, rape, slavery, etc..

If in your lifetime a zombie makes you bleed theres a chance it will either infect you with the virus or make you a carrier of the virus.

Then if a player eats you and you are a carrier or infected he gets either infected or he becomes a carrier.

Could be a 25% chance to be infected and 25% chance to become a carrier when when a zombie makes you bleed or you eat a player with either.

So last resort would be to eat another player cos would be a gamble.

Lower food spawns, make hunting animals and players more a necessity.

Tbh cannibilism will push KoS through the roof lol

Chains round their neck and pull em along, could have a few of em all on chains lol

The Walking Dinner.

I will get a truck when vehicles are in and put players cuffed in back to deliver food around chern and spray "Meals on Wheels" on the side.

Don't think so.

Lots of the KoS we see today has no purpose whatsoever, especially now that most people simply instantly log out and there is no loot to be gained. All it would give is another interesting option for really desperate situations, bit like eating a rotten fruit when you're about to die.

Cannibalism may cause Kuru disease a.k.a. laughing disease a.k.a spongiform encephalopathy. symptoms are slurred speech, movement difficulties (shakes) and fits of laughter. Your brain dies cell by cell as prions eat it away so that it finally looks like a sponge. It takes 3 months to 2 years to die. Think twice before tasting "the long pig".

Devs should put this disease ingame if they implement cannibalism. If you see a guy with shakes who laughs alone, you know what he did....

How do you know the KoS player has no reason to kill you if you cannot read he's mind and are not there to see if he loots you?

Or are you just presuming?

whats concerning me most about this discussion is whose these scientists feeding people, people to test the effects! haha is it speculation or what as i don't recall jeffery dahlmer having side effects or are they basing this off of cannibal tribes? just wondering are these based on scientific tests or scientific speculation? this is actually interesting to me is that bad haha ...(i'm totally not planning on picking up a man diet i swear :P)

Maybe because there is usually nothing to loot, since people can log out instantly and corpse is lost?

Maybe because there was no weapon worn whatsoever?

Maybe because there was no risk to you whatsoever, since you can also immediately log out and hop servers?

I also didn't say "no reason", I said "no purpose". If someone is having fun killing everyone in DayZ, it's a good enough reason to me. But it doesn't have a purpose :)

I played 2017 just to see how it worked out on there, killed my friend and fed him..well himself for the lulz.  He quit and did not talk to me for a week.  Cannibalism is something you cannot quite go wrong with in terms of survival and pushing players to do uncanny things.

That's dark.

I imagine food will be even more rare in the future, hopefully I wont have to eat human meat to survive. Hopefully

Well, it's a common occurence in situations like an apocalypse. So I guess I am okay with it. Even though it's gross as hell.

That is, as they say, "the plan."

Depends on how it's done really.

If it's hunting and carving people up then yea, that's rough but that would mean a near 100% extinction of anything living in an area (plant, animals, insects, etc) so at this point, priorities need to change and humans are pretty good at adapting. However, it's pretty much no future at this point...

However, if it's something like Soylent Green, where it's just maximizing waste disposal of people who died naturally, I don't really see the problem as long as it's done overtly.

what's your reaction on whole cannibalism idea, for me its really cool feature of surviving but it's little bit disturbing, cuz i think people will kill their own teammates just to survive ...what's your point on this one...

Game's gonna need to lower food drop rate methink.

I ate three people in the last apocalypse(hint:We didn't have an apocalypse yet so you don't know that)

I think a cool way to tell a cannibal would be some feedback in text format. "You notice a funny smell coming from JohnQplayer" of course that is within a small radius.
