Cannot Inventory Pistol?

This is probably my 4th life playing this game and I have finally found a pistol and some ammo that goes with it. However it seems I cant store it in my inventory? I'm only able to hold it in my hands but when ever I do an action, for example climbing a ladder I just drop it on the ground. I looked around the building I found it in and obtained a chest holster. Yet when I have the chest holster on I still cannot keep the pistol. Is there some item I need to be able to store it or what?

If you have a holster you should be able to store your gun in it (drag/drop the gun on the holster from your inventory).

If you don't have any holster, you nned to have 4 free slots in any clothe/backpack to store the gun

Thanks it must have been a slight glitch from the alpha. I left the server and rejoined and was then able to drag it into the holster.
