InTheAsylum 2 Posted December 30, 2013 I'm not entirely sure what could be causing this - sorry if it's in the wrong category I just need some help lol. For comparison - here's a screenshot of my friend's game: http://puu.sh/62XWX.jpgand here's a picture of my game: http://puu.sh/62XKx.jpg I don't have low blood or anything, what's going on? InTheAsylum 2 Posted December 30, 2013 Are you sure you don't have low blood?Positive. I had them give me a Saline Bag shortly before taking this screenshot, not to mention the game always looks like this for me.
AmirDayz 54 Posted December 30, 2013 Did you change your gamma/brightness settings? High gamma will desaturate your colors. Did you try disabling post-processing effects?
InTheAsylum 2 Posted December 30, 2013 Did you change your gamma/brightness settings? High gamma will desaturate your colors.Did you try disabling post-processing effects?Gamma is on like 1/8 of the bar, brightness is around 1/4.
DMZ_Sniper 73 Posted December 30, 2013 Gamma is 1/8? It should be 1/2.

Lady Kyrah 1110 Posted December 30, 2013 Well.. his game looks awfully saturated, someone has been wiggling sliders randomly in his graphic card control panel?
Arty (DayZ) 47 Posted December 30, 2013 It might be a bug. I had the same thing, when I died and re-spawned I got better color.
Stiptikspec 25 Posted December 30, 2013 Have you changed settings to try and get a better FPS? watched any dodgy tutorials?
InTheAsylum 2 Posted December 30, 2013 (edited) Gamma is 1/8? It should be 1/2. It looks ridiculously saturated when I do that. Did you try deleting System32? Yes. Well.. his game looks awfully saturated, someone has been wiggling sliders randomly in his graphic card control panel? Negative, card settings are on default. It might be a bug. I had the same thing, when I died and re-spawned I got better color. Odd, will let you know next time I die. Have you changed settings to try and get a better FPS? watched any dodgy tutorials? Negative, been running a solid 50 FPS so I've left it be. EDIT: Here's a picture of all of my options, hopefully this helps. http://puu.sh/630d5.jpghttp://puu.sh/630g0.jpghttp://puu.sh/630gR.jpghttp://puu.sh/630hF.jpghttp://puu.sh/630iA.jpg Edited December 30, 2013 by InTheAsylum
Streetlolz 2 Posted December 30, 2013 gamma and brightness should both be at 1/
AmirDayz 54 Posted December 30, 2013 I just screwed around with my own graphical settings and I could only get a similar effect by cranking up gamma to really high values, judging by the fact that your gamma is set relatively low I still think that there might be something off in your graphics card gamma settings, but since you say you already checked that out I don't really know. I assume that you don't have any such issues with other games though? Maybe you should try backing up and deleting your DayZ.cfg and dayz profile .cfg files so that the game will recreate them. Gamma should be at 1/2, same as brightness. If you put them low and your game is colourless, nothing I can do. Your friend probably has Gamma and Brightness a lot higher, hence the colour difference.
