changed video settings, crashed game

so i just bought the game, ran it for the first time and changed my resolution, nothing too crazy, just to the resolution that my pc-screen is.... which crashed my game, and everytime i restart it, it crashes again, gives me this pop-up:

 

"error: Device reset failed, error 8876086c"

 

(yeah my pc is kinda bad, but not too crappy or ancient...)

 

is there any way i can change resolution without starting the game? i deleted all local content via steam and redownloaded the game, which didnt fix it...

Deleting your config file should fix this: go to C:\Users\[Your Name]\DayZ and delete the config file there. The game should load the defaults next time you start it.

You might try and change the settings in the game config file.

You are using XP no doubt.
