Is this normal?

Just purchased tonight and played for about 20min before I had to leave for work. I log in and instantly my character is thristy...is this normal that your toons are thristy as soon as you create a new toon? I'm currently roaming the wood/roads looking for some type of water supply.

You start a bit thirsty and hungry. I recommend heading north because small houses hold alot of food

You spawn in with just about 20% energy and 20% thirst. Energy has a max around 20,000 and drink at 6,000 or so. You really do spawn it almost dehydrated and almost starving to death. Most people do not realize this.
