Hot keys for flashlights, bipod...

So haven't seen anything similar posted and tried the search.

 

Pretty simple - would be great to be able to turn on/off flash-lights (weapon, hand-held or head lamp) by binding the flashlight to a hotkey (rather than having to go through the inventory screen and right-clicking). Same for bipods.

I believe once it's in your hand, you can use the context menu (middle mouse click) to turn flashlights on and off.

 

May not be the same way with headlamps though

Lights on/ off should be L as it was in the mod.

Sounds like one way to go, but I think Rocket said somewhere they weren't so keen on too many set keys to simplify the controls (could be wrong though). Hot keys give you flexibility to set it up as you want.

Definitely.  I'm only using the M4 light sparingly to preserve the battery and not be seen, having to go through the inventory is probably getting folks killed.

I remember a reddit thread that said if you drag the bipod on the hotbar you can toggle it quickly.

I am bumping this thread. I have tried adding M4 and FNX flashlights to my hotbar and it doesn't seem to work, and going in to the inventory and right-clicking on them twice a minute is very awkward when you're trying to go undetected. I would really, really like a hotkey to switch weapon flashlights on and off.

 

Edit: Never mind, this came up with a Google search and I didn't realise it was in the mod suggestion forum. It was intended for Standalone.

Yeah - it should be in the SA suggestion forum but it didn't exist when I posted it. Be good if the moderators could shift it over.
