Hacking I'm F^&king tired of it.

If anyone has played Arma we know hacking is a constant.

 

This is what ruined  DayZ for me the first time around and why I stopped playing it. 15 hours in and I'm ready to hang it up again the only difference now is that this was paid for.

 

Now Rocket has created this new version but it has not stopped the hackers. If you do not kill the hacks in this game it's not worth playing. Do you understand that Rocket I mean DO YOU REALLY FUCKING UNDERSTAND THAT. i mean dude I brought this up a long time ago and it seems to have not sunk in yet.  

 

But let me explain, considering the fan boi's are mashing keys already ( and did not bother to read the rest ). You spend the better part of a day sneaking around and collecting your random shit and finding better shit, surviving, exploring, avoiding fights or winning them if you are lucky you avoid all the KOS dick-bags you can actually enjoy the game. But when you instantly loose EVERYTHING to a hacker it ruins the game. It's not like a fight gone bad it is an uncontrollable troll of all your efforts ruined in a second flat. The game is based on your efforts to obtain the tools of survival while it's interesting it gets old quick having to re-do your character not even enjoying the spoils of your labor.

 

The Hack: 

 

You enter a server and you cannot see anything but you can hear sounds. Apparently you are killed and whomever is running this hack loots everything you got. I seen a rather bright flashy screen and left within a couple of seconds and still was killed.

 

Of course you don't know this until you connect to another server and find out all your shit is gone and well, you died.

That's not hack. flashy screen happened to me before. It's a bug happens sometimes when you enter the server. You probably got killed as you enter.

I havent seen any hacking although there could be. Just about everygame will have it though. But you always have to be prepared to die and have to re gear, that is an unfortunate part of the dayz. More specifically, due to bugs and future resets you shouldnt get overly attached to your gear in the first place. That being said it is good pointing this out whether its a cheat or glitch, you should also submit it to the feedback page, thats best way to fight it either way.

Just calm down man. Seems more like a bug than a hack. I've probably logged about 24-30 hours and haven't seen or heard about a hacker yet.

I've logged in to the wavy/blank screen also. All I've had to do is hit Esc and just click on video settings and it reverses it. As for dying, always try and log out in a safe area so when you log in you can deal with whatever glitch may be happening. (Again, Alpha...)

 

Now, if you're server hopping trying to snipe someone, what likely got you was karma.

Hacking is a major problem in the whole industry and you're right it is so frustrating to be killed by a hacker when you have put hours of time into gathering stuff just to be so cheaply killed. I have not personally encountered the hack you mention but I have died to hackers since release nowhere near as often as the mod which shows that there has been a lot of improvement in that area in my opinion any way and I believe more work is being implemented in the future to also detect those using hacks which would be nice.

 

The big problem with hacks and hackers though is that it is an ever evolving problem as companies fix issues and improve security hackers will always find ways round it so it will be an ongoing issue.

Whenever you have some visual errors go into the video settings and it should be fine.

 

If you spawn your body is present before you are able to move and see,also your weapon makes a very audible noise.Thats why you should always log out somewehere safe.

Never atribute to a hack that which can be accounted for by remembering DAYZ IS STILL IN ALPHA.

 

They have a big sign on Steam that says not to buy this game. Rocket has said not to buy this game, yet. There's that big shiny message that you have to click through each time you launch this game that says this game will stuff you up every which way it can.

 

Yeah, there is a hack floating around out there, but its very limited in what it can do and I'm sure Rocket and the team will plug any holes it shows up when they get back to work.

ESP hacks. Simple file check would eliminate those. Just need them to turn that stuff on by default. Probably some sort of server load issue with it tho.
