First day of SA was priceless

Recommended Posts

First day was without a doubt the coolest thing i had ever experienced, i sat at my computer, sweating with excitement and actually came across people with personality and will. I remember when some people didn't even think the game had guns and most people who had guns did'nt have the whole kit and kaboodle of ballistic helm and big backpack. I actually would run into A LOT of people in the towns, many of which had no idea where they were or what they were doing. Not a single combat logger did i see, ever.

The climax dropped by about day 3, about the same i noticed someone combat logging on a stream, back when the whole chat was like OMGWTF when it happened as if it had never been seen before.

And now, the only action is on the coast or in Balota, the rest of the whole world is barren and perhaps one or two interactions will be enjoyed per day. Many of which are met with an immediate log anyways.

Five minutes into the game the first night I ran into 4 fully geared guys at Balota. "Friendly?". "Yep". "Cool."

That's how the whole night went no matter who I ran into.

Now I'm trying to figure what possesses a dude to try and punch the guy with a loaded M4.

Alpha indeed..

I cannot wait until they spread the loot out a bit more, so the airfield next to cherno is no longer the instant deathmatch its become.  I think spreading out the spawn points a bit more could provide a bit more spread.. that and adding more players to the sever (once possible)

Although I do agree that its a bit odd seeing unarmed players trying to take out guys with guns, its interesting to see those who have nothing to loose for someone who has something to loose to put it all on the line.

I had a loaded pistol and some dude came from behind me with a knife.. he got me once, then was force fed a few rounds to the chest.  Searched his body, nothing but base clothing, a knife and flashlight.   So, it would have sucked big time to loose that one, but its interesting to fight someone who's literally got nothing to loose.

They say streams made more people join.. Yea it did but

Those joining act like the streamers ( popular ones ) kos bandits and that's it.

Streamers have no choice but to be bandits, even a 2 year old could survive in this build of the game...... But even being a bandit is starting to get old as the growing amount of hackers and combat loggers take hold.

I know all I'm saying is if people had joined after let's say following Frankie's dayz series from the beginning things might be a little different to seeing a streamer rage bandit on the coast for 10 minutes.

I know streamers need to make things interesting sure but that's the mentality I am seeing in game right now.

Loot isn't that spread out actually.. How often have you found a gun in anything but a firestation, military base or hospital  (what firefighters have guns. or doctors?)

I agree the spawn points would help, but encoraging people to go to places other then just military bases would be nice too.  I'd much rather get into a PVP conflict in a town then in an open airfield.
