Can't load empty magizines

I have several 7.62 and 5.56 20 round brown paper ammo box's. I have 3 empty ammo clips some are 20,30, and 40 they can hold for my M4. I have tried to load the 5.56 rounds from these brown boxed ammo into the clips and it say's it doesn't fit. Why is that because the ammo is the exact ammo for my gun and for the clip?????

 

I am confused on how to load magizines, the only way I have found to load a magizine is with the lose rounds I find. So the ammo I find in the brown box is useless at this time?

So you attempted to shove the ammo into the clips still wrapped in the paper? 


No seriously it is actually that detailed. Right click on the paper wrapped ammo and select "Open" or is it "Remove Ammo"? But then it will be 20 loose rounds which will load into a clip.

thanks, the option is empty when right clicking on the little brown box.

I had a similar problem. Emptied my box of 5.56 ammo and tried to put it in a magazine. It said, "that ammo will not fit."

 

I logged out and logged back in and it worked. Weird.

Try loading a real gun with bullets wrapped in paper it's really really hard to do. So technically the script for loading a weapon in Dayz is working as intended.
