Nerf NVG

Recommended Posts

We read your post, another whiner who wants the game to change specifically to suit them.

Almost every change thus far, has at least had a consensus go into the decision. The negative feedback for NVGs is minimal because they are that rare, and the instances of somebody being screwed over by another player with NVGs is just that rare, that any change against the grain of "realism" for the sake of "balance" would do nothing but polarise player opinion just to appease a vocal minority. If the game's development thus far is any indication, that won't happen.

Good luck with your crusade.

You people are such cry babies. The NVG are fine and I've never even had a pair nor have I been killed by them. if I were I wouldn't care as I probably did something really stupid in the middle of the night and went somewhere like NW/AP and got killed.

I think one of the problems is that they will become more common .... eventually. As players die and get looted an other players find them. The other problem is that its generally douches that have them as they are the ones more likely to server hop to farm them or get some from hacking.

Possibly the suggestion I saw elsewhere of shots damaging equipment would stop that gradual increase of good loot in the game ?

Or maybe equipment wear and tear.

Also stop them working with the Sniper Rifle ?

Yes, limiting their use with a scoped weapon would make sense, firing a weapon with goggles on your face would be clumsy at best, goggle-destroying at worst.

I feel bad for OP. He (/she) makes valid points in a respectful manner. Guess that's the kind of community you get, eh?

I had a pair of NVGs once. Made night light as day, and I could see forever. Kinda glad I lost em, they were the kind of overpowered crap that would dull your abilities.

I don't think anyone should post unless they've used em before :/
