Hveding 0 Posted December 25, 2013 Hey.In the Arma series, there is big focus reality.. Sorry for my bad English, but what i mean is how things effect the bullet when shoting.. Like wind, rain and bullet drop.Is this added in Dayz Standalone ?Have have almost not fired a singel shot yet, but i want to know how the bullet will react when i fire one, will the bullet drop, will it go to the side.Since i know the drop rate from a M4 in reality, i would really love to know if the bullet react like that in the game or not. Now i just saying the same thing over and over againg.Sorry for my poor English. -Hveding
Color (DayZ) 132 Posted December 25, 2013 (edited) I'm sure there is bullet drop but you probably have to shoot quite the distance to have it drop. Edited December 25, 2013 by Color
cywehner1234 582 Posted December 25, 2013 I'm assuming so. DayZ SA is based off the arma engine, so im assuming they kept that stuff.
Aussie Bogan 350 Posted December 25, 2013 Yeah where is bullet drop over distance :) But no wind doesn't currently affect the builds flight path nor rain. (To my current knowledge)
Korsbaek 1778 Posted December 25, 2013 Only gravity affects the flight of the bullet so far. I don't know how it will be in the later builds though.
-Gews- 7443 Posted December 26, 2013 Only gravity affects the flight of the bullet so far. And air resistance.
Rowdy (DayZ) 28 Posted January 8, 2014 Hai Guys, I wanted to ask if the game incorporates TOF (Time of Flight) for bullets, for example when shooting long distances at a running target, do i have to aim ahead of the target so that when my bullet reaches him it still hits? sorry for the slight necro, but didnt think this needed its own thread..... Kocot 35 Posted January 8, 2014 Yeah, aim ahead of the target and aim higher.
doctorrayray 76 Posted January 9, 2014 I've spent a lot of time sniping and at maybe 500m+, for the Mosin ,you do have to account for windage. Just aim a little bit to the right of your target, assuming you're zeroed correctly. It could be windage or it's just off from that distance.
