Rocket  I was watching Sacriels live stream and someone just teleported to him and killed him.They got him banned from steam.I like the standalone so you need to fix this teleport  stuff.

they did not get him banned from steam... he reported it to the server hoster. they do not have the power to ban people from steam. that is only possible if VAC is active, which is not the case atm.

no he cant, valve is the only ones that can issue a steam wide VAC ban, not the dayz devs.

The dayz devs can't do anything. When you live stream a multiplayer game you are gonna get greifer. Especially in this game it you live stream being in a kill squad which is what sacriel and his clan buddies are. They get geared up and shoot people. So naturally they piss a lot of people off. They haven't progressed past the Kill on site bandit stage yet.

VAC bans are ALWAYS automatically. The Steam page related to this also states that you cannot report any players, even if you have proof ;).

 

Please remember that this game is still in alpha and that the netcode has serious problems (I got over 90kbyte/s download just for DayZ today). I still got horrible desyncs in which the world around me froze.

This desyncs can also give the impression of someone hacking: As soon as the desync is gone, all of his movements get down in an unbelievably fast speed, or even instant.

He has to contact valve  to have the license removed from his account, Rocket and the dayz devs have no power over banning someones steam account or VAC bans in general.

Desync is a massive issue, ive seen my group test a few things. Id post on bugtesting bug i always get a "wrong version" in the version field no matter what i type.

 

Weve had a player in our squad kill another player in the squad when he noticed desync on his side(the killer), the rest of us saw and heard nothing. Just one of our team drop dead with no apparent reason. And the player who killed him just seemed to be walking in a straight line to us.

That same day, on the same server only minutes later, i had a guy with an axe approach me saying friendly, yet still running at me. I unloaded a full clip into him (blood etc, and bullets hitting) and he still managed to run 15 metres before teleporting behind me, hitting me, then dying.

 

Never had anything as bad as these 2 examples but this server was having issues for about 45 mins before. Getting teleported back to where u were 5 mins ago, slight rubberbanding etc.

Not something i think we could replicate without being on a server that seemed to be struggling as much as this one was.

Trust. Sacriel is in it for views and that means Action and Violence and with his band of merry bandits he gets those views. If he went all care bear or neutral his views would take a hit.

Sacriel can do what he wants because he earned his Gear not like the cheaters, that to me is very important.These little tards that ruin his stream piss me off.So I hope Rocket makes this Tard Pay.one more thing before I go y are people like so mad.If you cheat get banned sucker. Yes he can. He can just ban a key without a VAC ban. They have 2 planned anti-cheats: VAC and one that is currently undisclosed but more than likely going to be BE which allows manual banning. Even without an anti-cheat or ban system currently in place its not hard to add a boolean to the database to say if a player is banned and then have a server auto kick a person using a banned key.
