gregnator 23 Posted December 25, 2013 Hi guys!Okay, I got a couple of suggestions, which I know some are not spoken about (yes I used search) As I've seen, a lot of people want private servers but there are a lot of problems with that.People can use private servers to get alot of stuff and go to other servers and kill people. What if we made private servers and normal servers unconnected? If you join server A and get a lot of stuff and then go to server B.. You wont have the stuff you got from server A.In my opinion this is a MUST. Why? Because, now we see a lot of server hoppers. If you do this, people will no longer server hop, seeing it won't benefit them. Also this will create communities for servers. Also if Dayz does this, they can give the server owners a chance to actually be admins.I've already seen hackers on the standalone, and admins won't do anything because of the fear of being blacklisted. It's idiotic to pay 60$ for a server, you can't even control. It's bullshit. Also when the anti-combat logging is in place, people won't be able to combat log. So with this idea we achieve 3 things. 1. No combat logging2, No server hopping3. Server owners, actually OWN the server. But why stop here? Seeing servers restart every day or so for new items to respawn we should keep it this way.If servers spawn items along with time, the server console will state that items generate due to the server computer. With servers that generate items throughout the game, and not throughout restart, hackers can easily manipulate this system and make the server generate lots of items without getting caught. Keep this in mind. Make books readable... At least 1 or 2 pages.Otherwise, why the hell have books? Maybe use them to burn stuff? Bring back a sort-of-bandit system, people need to reconize bandits. I myself have no trouble with bandits but for new people, it's not nice to find people claiming to be friendlies only to cuff you and force-feed rape you. I have seen this, and it disgusts me. People getting nearly virtual raped... And the problem with this is, it occurs ALOT against female characters, i've seen it in videos and ingame.Force feeding people whilst saying : "Oh you like it don't you? You dirty sl*t, you wh*re" I am not against force feeding seeing it has a lot of good sides to it, but bringing a bandit system will make people avoid these weirdos. Spectate zombies:With this I mean, when you become a zombie after being infected (I heard that DayZ will implement you getting infected and actually becoming a zombie)But you won't see "DEAD" I want to be able to spectate my zombie self, just to see if my zombie self kills people (it's fun to know). NO MICROTRANSACTIONS! DayZ must NEVER EVER take the road of so many great games that eventually failed and started robbing people. Microtransactions are game killers, making microtransactions possible, is like agreeing to EA to let them direct a DayZ 2.It sounds good, but will end up terribly. Shadyfizzle 80 Posted December 25, 2013 (edited) Idk if you have ever played the Dayz mod before. What you described in your first paragraph is already in existence as private hive servers, which is a huge matter of debate for implementing into the stand alone. About virtual rape, there are a lot of weirdos out there, nothing you can really do about it lol. It is funny because something along the lines of what you witnessed was used as an argument to not introduce female models into arma 3. the zombie spectate is an interesting idea, they used to put you as a seagull in the mod in the old days. And they have already said micro transactions will NEVER be a part of dayz. Also idk if this thread is in the right section? chris_heyward 47 Posted December 25, 2013 You say you have used the search feature, but these have already been covered hundreds of times. The 'private' servers you are on about are called Private Hives and you CANNOT take gear from one to the other unless the admin has say 3 servers running from the same hive and sets it up this way which is quite rare. Alot of people are pushing for private hives as it allows them to customise the server loot spawn rates and kills server hoppers. And about the bandit system. From what I understand, there won't be one. Standalone is meant to be realistic in some way and not as easy as the mod (hence all the tears already). Figuring out if someone is bandit is all part of the game. If you don't know if the guy is a bandit, then stay away from him/her unless you have someone in the bushes with a Mosin ready to drop the guy in a heartbeat if any banditry occurs. Can you walk down the street right now and see a sign above someones head pointing and saying 'This guy is a jerk?' No you cannot, so why should DayZ be set to easy mode? Standalone is basically going to be a hardcore version of the mod.

Standalone is basically going to be a hardcore version of the mod.I can see your point with the Bandits. But let's not forget it's still a game. However with the private servers, I have seen no possible way to create and/or host a private server on the DayZ standalone (Yet)Only things I've seen is server rental 30+ slot minimum.I would not like 30 slots, some people might just want 10, or even 5. If I posted this in the wrong section, DayZ make a suggestions forum in the DayZ Standalone section. Idk if you have ever played the Dayz mod before. Make private servers possible period. All (most) games you can create private servers. There is one thing I dislike about the DayZ servers style, and that is that if YOU pay, YOU need to listen to DayZ unless you want your server to be blacklisted.Imho thats some shit an other Zombie game creator I would see do.This is DayZ, don't become dictators like the game with a similar name. They are readable. Put it in your hands.http://s017.radikal.ru/i414/1312/10/7222cfa5d963.jpgI am deeply sorry, I did not even try that. Thank you for notifying.
