Can't receive new data while in server

Friend has an issue where she can send data but not receive new data while in a server. She can drop items for other players, but her inventory does not change until she logs out. She can not use items, and the message of "receiving" is always there. She can't see other players move or items being dropped.

 

Player data is only updating upon entering and leaving servers. Others can see her move.

 

Additional information: The first time we joined a server after installing let us play normally without issues; however, upon changing servers after a server restart, the whole server to client data issues occurred.

Maybe try port forwarding? I've never really heard of anything like this, But it seems like some kind of Client to server communication error. I'm not sure what the ports are for SA, I'm sure some other users would, But the main ArmA 2 one is 2302 UDP.

Port forwarding that port didn't seem to fix it. Thanks for trying.

This is the exact reason I came to these forums. I'm having the same problem. I had this happen to me once before and I ended up dieing to a zombie due to the fact I couldn't take out a weapon to defend myself but then when I respawned it was fixed. Now i'm having the same problem again and I would like a solution other than killing myself.

I have the exact same problem , i was thinking that is my network connection then i find this topic . 

basically can't drop/loot anything or just simply move items in inventory  or eat ( completely nothing i can do ) also i can't equip my weapon as-well . 

 

Some times i just put something in my inventory , and there is nothing in the inventory . then i just go to another server and i have that item .

By chance did you pick up a lot of backpacks? I had picked up probably 6-7 backpacks and had them all stacked inside my inventory. Thought maybe this had something to do with it.

My friend and I are having this same problem, first it was me then after he killed me at my request he began having the same issue... it has made the game completely unplayable, seems to have started after the 1/6 update as i NEVER had ANY issues prior to that update... i wish i could find more out about this, i have been scouring these forums for the past 4 days and have found 3 post but no fixes...

Yeah, I think with that update came big server problems.  The game has been unplayable for me.  I keep entering servers and people could see me, but I can't see them.  I can't use any items, I can't pick up any items, and can't pull out my gun.  Looking at other topics -- a lot of people are having similar problems.  Hopefully they fix it this week.
