Original "You are Dead" Screen

The original "You are Dead" screen (or something similar) should be added to the standalone game; it was nice and unique.

It says the exact same thing. The original one looked really bland anyways, and unprofessional.

 The only game i ever felt that dying was something of epic proportions was Dota 2, in that game when you die, a string of high quality music plays and you get some details about who killed you, followed up a pick up line. But in a game like this, i think death could honestly just be a black screen since we assume that people who die dont see, hear, or think anything.

I can't imagine anyone's death being anticlimactic, especially if they stood for something.

And not everyone assumes that death is "it" that those that die don't see, hear or think anything, especially those that believe in Christianity; but that is not what this thread is about.

Anyhow, the black screen just reminds me of those fighter jet games that cut the screen to black when you died or crashed into something, not showing the explosion; that was anticlimactic.

I personally wanted something a bit more creative than a black screen; however, this is a realistic simulator and the game is still in alpha.

I just feel the game needs to be careful that it doesn't become so realistic in every aspect that it becomes uninteresting or no fun to play anymore.

But realism is what makes DayZ, DayZ.

I was surprised to find myself in the minority on this one.

I can see wanting a change from the mod though, but it could be a different design instead of a blank screen.
