Long story short, 80m max sucks when players are coming right up on your ass in the forest and you can't really run away without being spotted.

well I hadn't been seen, but I knew that moving should get me spotted. I was at a tactical disadvantage, and I knew it.

Cause since I'm not a Shoot on sight style player, I wanted to give than a warning to stop without being hostile, in the off chance they too were friendly.

Then sit tight and wait for them to get closer before opening up a conversation, or hide yourself and wait till they pass altogether.

Who knows, they might have been stalking your lonely ass for a while and have now caught up and you should be glad you spotted them.

maybe I'm just thick and figured it would make sense that hopefully more communication and ways to be indicate friendly at a distance would be something good to add to dayz
