New feature suggestion - "Step over" window frames

Recommended Posts

With incredible number of explorable buildings in DayZ Standalone, the element of exploration didn't actually evolve enough to the proportion of their quantity.

To make it less of a routine I'd recommend to adjust at least some buildings in a way, which would allow players to "step over" certain broken window frames. Beyond serving as extra "entrance/exit" this feature could bring even more unpredictable situations and make not just scavenging, but the whole gameplay more dynamic and "post-apocalyptic" at the same time.

I like this idea, but it should only work for window frames large enough for a body. Maybe you could also smash the window, but would bleed out if you climbed through a window with shards sticking out.

Yeah that would give a little variety to exploring building's.. There could be barricades at the doors and you would have to find the right window to climb in..If anyone knows the game Project Zomboid, Dayz would benefit alot from the idea's from that game..

There are windows you can jump through. I've done it already. Couple of buildings in Electro with windows like that.

Indeed, I have vaulted out of windows of houses before. One time from the second story of a building, which I thought would be ok. I died instantly.

Through windows, OVER WALLS. There are lots to add up in capabilities terms (I cannot immagine a suvivor not be able to climb a tree, over a car or on top of a bus stop.)
