Been playing as much as I can since Monday afternoon. Today I finally logged in to feel the glorious sunlight warming me in my green hoodie.

Oh what a wonderful change of pace it was:). Didn't last long, about an hour in I was one shotted from somewhere in a tree line as I was busy killing zombies. As soon I respawned the dreary night had returned but that one hour was nice.

Guess here in Chicago the sun only shines for an hour on Sunday morning each week.

i have yet to spawn in a night server! and i only play from 12:30 am to 7:00 am US(Central)

24/7 is too much but 15 hours night to one hour daylight seems a bit skewed.

All that darkness gave opportunity to truly enjoy the daylight!

Some servers have popped up here in the good old US of A with their positions set to the other side of the world so while its pitch black here in wonderful Michigan it's bright and shiny in Chernarus!

I'd be happy with a faster cycle, maybe 3-2 hours day/night.

Would make for faster, more dynamic testing!

heres a better way to tell if you are looking to play on a day server:

 

Step 1: Go to server browser and refresh

Step 2: Click PLAYERS tab and sort from high-low

Servers with 25+ players are more likely to be during daylight

Anything less than that, is most likely night time (and full of server hoppers :) )

Night is a very special part of dayz but for the moment until torches don't shine through the walls of buildings I'm opting for daytime :D

 

But I will never agree with 24/7 daytime !

I live in Colorado and have been playing on the US central servers and have not seen nighttime once on them... Even when it's dark where I live...
