BelMarduk 169 Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) I also think it be a good idea to spawn with at least 1 bandage and generally have more bandages around to loot, So many times i died because i got hit once and i couldn't even find a single bandage anywhere not even in the freaking hospital.you spawn with two bandages... well, you spawn with a shirt, and that shirt can be ripped into two rags, and each rag is one bandage...EDIT: didn't read the whole thread... already stated Edited December 23, 2013 by BelMarduk
svenbreakfast 231 Posted December 23, 2013 Part of it sounds like you're not accounting for the fact that this alpha is still in a primitive state, and part of this sounds like the game may not be for you. The map is a place not a theme park.
hombrecz 832 Posted December 23, 2013 (edited) DUDE, with that rig you ought to get 60 fps man! Look for the usual tricks, maybe apply some startup parameters, what not. You'll get 60+ fps on that rig easily Man, I also own i-7 4770K, 8GB ram and HD 7870 2GB and performance in Cherno / Elektro is not good. I'm glad if I have around 30 FPS, but it goes even lower. In wilderness or around small villages I can have 60 FPS, inside some building even 90FPS, but the performance is really not very good and Rocket said, that they have not touched the client optimalisation as of yet. I really hope they will, because performance is my biggest issue, then rest I believe will be ironed out (glitchy zombies, low variety of loot, small number of zombies etc). EDIT: With map being small......I want it to be considerably bigger but ofc with some villages and towns or other structures, not only woods. Plus I strongly disagree, that towns / villages are boring. Yes the type of buildings repeat, but did you really expect every single damned house to be different? How time consuming, plus unrealistic (yes, many house patterns repeat in real life too) that would be? Edited December 23, 2013 by Hombre
Michaelvoodoo25 3120 Posted December 23, 2013 So much lack of imagination by so many players. It hurts..i need tissues. You took the words outta my mouth. I get the feeling lately players from other games are expecting their often different experiences to be found jn this game.Map too small? Hell no. It should be 3 times bigger afaic. Its what makes a sandbox game great.
Apple Monster 6 Posted December 23, 2013 Man I was really excited to jump into this game, it being said that it was as real as it gets. Know that this is still "Alpha" I guess I have to wait even longer for a true to life expectation of what a Post AP game would be like, and I don't see DayZ ever getting there, at least not before someone else beats them to it. In a Post AP game, escapism and immersion are what it's all about. Paying close attention to the details of what normal life would be like after some kind of disaster is what makes a great PA Game. - loot, yes need more and more and more. Even stuff I couldn't even use, like someones boxing gloves, or kitchen utensils.- the map is big, but that's probably the only thing I like about the game.- way too much repetition in buildings and textures. I would like to see a house with some carpet or a bookshelf thats not empty.

Ok, so big question : how did arma 2/ the mod run for you?Because I have an Q8200 (2.3GHz) and a radeon HD 6850 and I get 20 to 30 fps. I don't know much but about the 7870 but with a GTX 780 60fps should only be an issue in elektro/cherno! otherwise you got settings or config messed up. tehtk 11 Posted December 23, 2013 Right now my playstyle always the same, log on some low pop server, get geared up on the same spots always, then go back to a full server Wow, so you go the easy way to get stuff and then say that it is to easy ? And what next , you Alt+f4 out of a fight ?

Arma 2 Wasteland on takistan ran quite good. DayZ mod in cherno / Elektro was not very good. Now ARMA 3 wasteland (ws.arma.su) runs mostly very good, then some other version (or Arma 3 Breaking point), does not run that great when you are in big cities. As much as I love Arma serie and Dayz, I'm saddened by the fact, that optimalisation is not very good.I dream about arma games / dayz SA being highly optimised, using all my cores, more then 2 Gigs of ram thus running butter smooth in 60+ FPS all the time. That would surely be a sight to behold and thousands of players would rejoice. Sadly arma games does not run that great, even if you have more then decent HW. Wow, so you go the easy way to get stuff and then say that it is to easy ? And what next , you Alt+f4 out of a fight ? Well said, I agree!
