Because it just doesnt make sense to start people with no weapon. In a real zombie apocalypse I'd find a piece of fucking rebar or a wodden plank or a baseball bat in like 5 seconds. Why the hell would I run around with nothing at all and just go fetal when I get attacked by zombies?

It's dumb the way it is. It takes like 2-3 deaths before you can get lucky enough to get a viable start.

I think the idea is you wake up on the beach with no frigging clue. Otherwise what were you doing? Sunbathing? But who knows really?

Thats why i think you should start with a watch and maybe, just maybe a bandage.

the crowbar could be a stand in for any soild peice of scrap you find that would make a good weapon, drift wood club, rusty rebar ect
