Nahchito (DayZ) 0 Posted December 22, 2013 I am currently with a full stomach and fully hydratated. Drank some sodas to regain energy and sat down for a while, crouch walking for a while too. It's been 2 days and my charactear still sees black and white. What may be the problem?
Timmymachine109 (DayZ) 235 Posted December 22, 2013 (edited) I had this, think the colour thing is a bug...even though at full blood etc. Fixed it by getting a friend to give me a saline IV...worked in seconds :) Edited December 22, 2013 by Timmymachine109
Etherimp 1323 Posted December 22, 2013 Eat and Drink until you see the word "healthy" over your character when you press Tab. Yes, regening health is working.
symptom 185 Posted December 22, 2013 You could be sick. I suggest you try and find antibiotics or an epi pen.
echoBr00tal 0 Posted December 22, 2013 Same here. Also, the current character I am playing, I can still see color but vision is terribly blurry. I have been sitting for a while now and am not hungry or thirsty and not bleeding but vision seems to continually get blurry. No status saying sick or anything. (TMW) Merino 507 Posted December 22, 2013 (edited) Mmm from what I observed the "my stomach is full" message can be misleading. It seems to come up for both full of fluids or full of food but it refers to two different... well, "storages" for a lack of a better word, as if food and drink don't end up in the same stomach. This means that your stomach can be full of water and you're still starving because your food storage is nearly empty. You can get the "my stomach is absolutely full" message while you're still on a too low food level to reach the high regenration stage. Make sure the message that you're stuffed comes up after eating something as well. Not getting no "I'm hungry/thirsty" message is not enough, work for the stuffed/full message. I can tell for sure that regeneration is working since I filled two bags of blood recently, my vision was almost all grey but color is noticably coming back. LDSkinny 10 Posted December 22, 2013 I'm honestly beginning to think maybe my character is bugged. I've even tried on a fresh spawn who never got hit by a zombie nor ate any rotten food. No matter what quantity of water I drink and food I eat, healthy never comes up for me. Coincidentally, the "my stomach is stuffed" messages don't come up for me anymore either. I can eat a full box of cereal and several cans of food in their entirety in one sitting and never throw up or get any indication that I'm full. The same thing happens with water. My character is a bottomless pit for food and drink.
Nahchito (DayZ) 0 Posted December 23, 2013 Thanks for the replies. I have a 35 slot bag full of food and water. Guess I'll keep drinking and eating then.
Zogvarn 118 Posted December 23, 2013 1. Make sure to clean any wounds you may have gotten with alcohol tincture and/or use anitbiotics. Having infected wounds will NOT show up as being sick. Also, after using the alcohol Tincture it will show as you being "sick" for a bit, but you get the message that "Your wounds hurt less." Then you get "Your wounds are healed." and the sickness goes away. 2. It takes a lot more food that just a box of cereal and a couple cans to get full. On average going from first stage "hungry" to "stomach is full" takes me a dozen cans of food. That's right, 12 cans of food on average. 3. Drink at a well to get full on water AFTER you have eaten. Spam "F" key is the easiest as it takes quite a lot. 4. Make sure to take some vitamins if you got them. 5. Once healthy and full on food/water you will then start to regen health and the "Healing" message will appear in inventory. Doesn't matter if you move or stay still, health regens either way.
