Hallucinations a thing or am I imagining it?

So, I'm in the middle of a forest. I'm low on blood but that's ok. I'm sated with plenty of food and water to keep me regenerating, but the zombies... I can still hear them. I don't see them but I can hear them, right next to me....

 

 

So is this part of a game but a very (fantastically enriching) glitch?

 

 

Report: Hallucinations include zombies screaming, food being eaten close by, gunshots sometime....

Zombie sounds play in forests time to time even on full health. Same as the sound of soda can being opened.

It's a bug. Makes me shit myself everytime.

I think it's a bug/glitch.

 

I often hear zombies screams,  reloading sounds, clicking etc, and noone is nearby me.

I hear zombies all the time, full health or not so it's probably a glitch.

Gun shots could be real ones the sound travels pretty far

Eating I couldn't say it should be real but if you are alone I dont know

So probably all glitches

It's a known bug, that the ambientanimals like birds are making Z-Noises. 

This will be fixed with the implementation of a soundeffect-overhaul.

Aww fantastic bug. It has me shit scared and on edge. Just like a low blood survivor alone in the forest would be.

Even though it's a bug they should consider impleenting this as some kind of sickness were you hear things, that would be really interesting!

Hearing sounds when you´re fatiqued would make sense, being sleep deprived in dark woods makes you see and hear the strangest things in real life.

It's a bug.

 

Currently all wildlife - birds, rabbits etc. make zombie sounds. It will be fixed soon.

 

I'm not sure what causes the can opening sound to play, but hopefully that is also being worked on.

This may be a case of a bug worth expanding upon.

 

My friend would hear soda cans every now and then and it kept us on our toes.

For those who get too comfortable with the false sounds it will be a case of the boy who cried wolf, and someone malicious may be cracking open a soda and someone passes it off as ambiance.

It's the ´´Zombie Bunny´´ glitch. I seriously think they should consider adding this, maybe as a symptom of various diseases.

I also think the ambient sounds in forests should be more varied.

Its a bug which is two fold, the animals in the world since the latest patch are using the same scripts as the zombies which means they have the same audio files, The can opening is also a side effect but im unsure if its connected to the zombie scripted wildlife.

the can opening sound scared the crap out of me a few times

and I've had the ghost zombie sound 'cry wolf' on me. you start ignoring it, then it turns out to be a real zombie...
