dayz Error: Device reset failed, error 8876086c

Hello Forum!

I just installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 on my computer. 
However, when I'm trying to change something in the Video options in Dayz, it crashes to desktop with the following Error:

Dayz Error: Device reset failed, error 8876086c

 

 

Anyone know what's causing this issue?

I have that error because im running XP atm, but i just changed the options in cfg file. Are you running Dayz in compatibility mode for xp? I did read something in the forums about that causing that error in windows 7.

Yeah, I tried extraacting the SweetFX in the Dayz folder. I'll try removing it. 

 

Edit: Thanks, that worked. I totally forgot I had that SweetFX. So how can I get that to work? Cause it looks pretty sweet.
