Hveding 0 Posted December 22, 2013 Hey. Quick question, will there be more than 40 players on a server ?I see now that all servers just accept 40 players to the max..Feel like it's a little to few, 60 would be good for more action, atleast 50! -Hveding
Kipale 78 Posted December 22, 2013 I think there is couple 50 slot servers but rocket said they want them stable before increasing slots up to 100.
Hockeyguy 107 Posted December 22, 2013 Well I am guessing that there is still some testing going on with how much the servers can handle before raising the amount of people that can play on the server
kevsta545 451 Posted December 22, 2013 Over time the player amount will increase as they make the servers more safe and stable, as of now I've seen some 60 servers, but I don't think they're recommended and may be more unstable.

Statik (DayZ) 2695 Posted December 22, 2013 It's just to make sure the servers are stable.

tansien 15 Posted December 22, 2013 Servers are stable at 60/80/100/120 players. Just oversold shitty hardware.
leviski 2152 Posted December 22, 2013 We need about 200 I never find anyone even on 60 player server in the mod
Mos1ey 6301 Posted December 22, 2013 We need about 200 I never find anyone even on 60 player server in the mod Really? In a 60/60 player server I'd run into 3 or 4 people on a trip through Zel. 30-40 was the sweet spot for me in the mod. With all the new and exapanded locations in Chernaplus I think we could stretch to 80 or so before it started feeling crowded though.
Bocui 13 Posted December 22, 2013 40 is enough. It adds more of a survival sense, less people meaning that when you do see someone. you dont kill them because you're lonely (That happened to me in the SA, I would KoS in the Mod if they didnt scream friendly)
Siberian (DayZ) 527 Posted December 23, 2013 yeah 40 is LOTS... its an apoc, i shouldnt be bumping into random strangers every few mins regardless of were i am.. the feeling of isolation is GONE at that point... just feels like an ave. night out on the town. I Pro Devon 12 Posted December 23, 2013 I was on an 80 slot server on Thursday. Actually pretty fun, everyone was friendly and a group of 9 people (including me) went up to Stary together. 4 died on the journey there, 2 logged out in Stary and the last 3 of us had a fight to the death inside the huge metal building... Fun times (I was the 8th person to die)
GanjaPalooza 35 Posted December 24, 2013 Once you leave the coast and head inland player encounters become far less often. Also, we all know this is supposed to be a zombie apocalypse but I can guarantee you that more than 100 people would be surviving in Chernaraus if this was a real situation - I don't get why people would assume that you would constantly not have any interactions with other people during a zombie apocalypse.
