FoOKaa 15 Posted December 22, 2013 Hi all, Firstly just wanna say this game is fooking epic and im so glad i bought it. These forums have been a massive help to me and my clan m8s so far but theres a few things we're still unsure on.. 1. Loot - I know its all not exactly how it should be atm but in normal circumstances how often should loot spawn and de-spawn ? So an item spawns, how long if no one finds it until it disappears ? 2. Player Loot- So you get a kill, you go in for the loot, how long should that loot stay there for ? So example theres 3 guys you kill 1, then 5 mins later get the 2nd then 5 mins later get the 3rd, should all their loot stay there until you pick it up ? 3. Recovering your loot after death - So you have been killed but your pals are guarding your things, how long should it stay there ? As i say noob questions but would be very handy to know how it SHOULD BE, i know its maybe bugged atm in the alpha... Just had 10 of my guys and got in a gun battle with another group of players, we lost a few guys and killed all their guys but when our guys who died made it back after respawning their stuff was all gone, bodys and all, they were not hidden for the record and they made it back in like 15 mins. Also a couple of times we have killed people and gone for their loot and their body's disappear like 1 minute after they were shot ? Again they were not hidden, I actually went to the guys body, opened up his inventory and then needed to move some things out of my bckpck, then when i went to go back into his bckpck he had gone ? lol Im sure most of this is Alpha bugs ect but I'd appreciate the knowledge of timings of things :D Thanks in advance :D Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

It stays until found on the public servers, private tends to depend on server restarts.2.Again it depends on restarts, to be honest best to get it there and then incase someone else stumbles across the dead bodies.3 Not sure. Hydra (DayZ) 472 Posted December 22, 2013 At its current state, DayZ has dead players despawn within a couple of minutes, from my own experiences. Yesterday I was in Elektro and shadowed a group of two survivors, and they both ended up kneeling next to a water pump for a drink at the same time, so I jumped over the fence and axed them both a couple of questions. One of the bodies decided to start endlessly sliding back to the ocean, doubtlessly heeding to the call of the dread lord Cthulhu. By the time I had looted the sliding guy and came back, the other had disappeared. As for findable loot, NO IDEA. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
