i think i found one of the fps lag spikes, zombbies spawning in your area !

 

with fraps running as soon as lag spike happens zombie noise or zombie comes running . so  something related is causing the performance hit.

I just have the stuttering that everyone has had since the patch that wiped the database. More than happy with my performance aside from that. :)

Any idea what this is due to? It's also the only performance issue I'm having. It reminds me of the small hiccup you would get in the mod when the zeds and loot spawned as you entered an area.

I'm not sure, no. Sorry! Hopefully it will be fixed soon though.

Try to turn clouds off. There will be fix for this on tuesday MAYBE.

the game uses one of the worst engines in the industry.

This, don't know why the fuck rocket didn't just move to the Arma 3 engine before getting this far in development.

Anyways:

Game runs pretty well in rural areas with what amounts to medium-low settings, and with some cfg tweaking.  In cherno I get like 25 fps

I'm running a gtx 780, and I have had almost no performance issues. By FPS never drops to sustained low numbers, but I do get hitching every now and then. I'm going to start increasing my 3d resolution to see what I can get away with before my frames start to drop.

WTF... you have almost exact same specs as me except for the processor... and I have no performance issues what so ever. I can run the game with everything near maxed out (except for AA) and get about the same FPS as you.
