Direct chat, working or not?

So i have ran into multiple instances where i had my Headset unplugged and couldn't VoIP chat, so i tried resorting to typing in the Direct channel. (Don't like the VoIP that much either. Hardly can figure out what someone is saying.)

Every time i do that i hear no reaction/answer to questions/speech. Can other players see it, or is it just that you're kinda like.. talking to yourself?  :huh:

It works just fine for me, if people don't respond its either their dont have a mic or are too scared :P

Works but often I can't understand what other players are saying, I know it's realistic to make the voices quieter the further they are but it's too quiet at the moment even at close distances.

Yeah it works, if you do resort to using your headset make sure you do everyone a favor and turn your output level UP

 

To anyone reading this go through your settings and do this, makes your voice louder so people can hear you, once i did that, i had no trouble calling out to everyone

I tried it out too and now my direct chat is working again. In order to make it work it is essential to have a mic plugged in!
