Health system - How many bullets does it take

We all know that we agreed to the development of the alpha but this is ridiculous.

 

After a few hours of gathering gear, I am roaming around and notice two guys hanging out next to a tree waiting for others.
I sneak up behind them and put 5+ bullets to their upper bodies and they just turn around bleeding, shoot me, and I die before they do.

This is the type of system that makes me want to drop this game for a while.

Serves you right for being a filthy bandit, lol. If you'd maybe tried talking to them from cover they may have welcomed you into their group and you'd be writing here now about an awesome adventure you all went on. But you shot them, and you aren't, your loss.

My friend shot 8 shots, all of which he thinks hit, into someone before they finally went down. This was with the M4 the guy had no body armor, only a raincoat, helmet, and camo pants.

I felt like that was a lot.

 

Equally, the only Mosin shot I've ever fired at anyone took him out in one shot to the gut. He may have been low on blood as it was, I'm insure, but I pray it's not 5 shots with a Mosin to get a kill because I'd be SOL reloading 4 times.

Honestly I don't think its the medical system, I think the bullets are not that accurate. Witch would make sence with a "Badly damaged" M4.

 

When ever I'm point blank, it only takes a few shots, or a head shot to put some1 down, but at any range past 20 feet, they seem to never die.

 

I tested this with a few buddies, we both stood 40 feet apart and took turns shooting each other 1 bullet at a time, and only 1/5 bullets connected.

 

before you say "you guys are bad shots". I have personally qualified expert on ever weapon the U.S. Infantry posses, and I have been playing Arma and DayZ since it came out. If I miss its not due to my ability.

I guess based on your bad experience there are a few factors that potentially could have contributed..

• Your gun (Damage)
• Where you hit the players?
• What protective gear they were they wearing? (vests?)
• Lag
• Possible bug

My pro tip: S#!& happens it's dayz you just have to accept it:D

 

Perhaps next time aim for the head ;)

I think a lot of people are failing to realise how little health they spawn with. They're only eating until the yellow 'hunger' box disappears, that is nowhere near full and you probably have a lot of HP to re-gain. Last night my group came across a guy who looked like a relatively fresh spawn and I was honestly surprised as anyone when I took him clean out with a single bullet, I only wanted to scare the guy.

 

(In case that person is reading this, I'm sorry. Unfortunately you weren't responding to comms or making any gestures, and you were looting the entire place with a fire axe. My group simply needed that stuff more than you and we weren't willing to risk you chopping one of us to bits because you had nothing to lose.)

I've been experiencing the opposite, like ulfhedjinn stated, people are eatting untill the hunger and thirst messages are gone, and they're running around with not much blood or food, people are so easy to kill. And i havn't even found a weapon yet!

This is the same reason everyone I know that doesn't like the game - doesn't like the game

 

Make it more like Arma 3 so we can headshot/body shot people!
