cataclyststa 8 Posted December 21, 2013 Hey guys, quick question here.I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, every time I kill a player, they will appear dead on the ground, Obviously, but one thing that I'm not sure about is how they seem to disappear when the person exits the game or respawn's. I guess this could be a way to help the servers from lagging, keeping all the useless dead bodies away, but it's kind of upsetting when I kill a bandit and go to loot him and he isn't there. I have also had it where it just shows the player standing up bleeding, or walking or performing some sort of animation. I died far north from a tumble down the stairs (KoS stairs I swear) and my friend tried to find my corpse to get my stylish headgear and he said it was gone. I hadn't logged out. However, that is a bit more unique as with DayZ Alpher you never know if the corpse just fell through the ground or somehow glitched 30m somewhere else. He was still there, waiting he said.I found him 10 minutes later 700 meters or so away up and running, being ported 20 meters back then continue running, repeat. Mazzar 231 Posted December 21, 2013 Combat logging is when theyre in a fight. They simply give up playing and exit the game, all you guys do it. you lose all your gear and give up for the night. Alpha.I know, seen it happen several times. Just thought I'd post it, as people just assume the corpses disappear into the ground or something. Abo 3 Posted December 21, 2013 It isn't combat logging, my friend fell off a roof in front of me, we tested it, he respawned and his body disapeared before we could even loot it. Praetorian (DayZ) 2 Posted December 21, 2013 I killed a guy today and his body disappeared while looting it, so it wasn't a combat logging thing because you can't loot people when they're alive (tried that too with my friends trying to put some beans in his bag).
