What would you like see added to the game

I am not talking things which are broken that need addressing but new features/items so ill start us off.

Auto run - would be a nice to have a key to auto run so we don't have to hold down the W when going large distances & would make the use of walking better.

Mini bag - when you freshly spawn start with a small bag talking something like 8 slots to keep you going until you find a larger bag

persistent storages, I know they're coming, but I'd rather have them soon.

 

I feel way more comfortable running through a city playing doctor in a t-shirt and jeans, not in a full uniform decked out with military-grade equipment. Probably would also scare half the players off and make a lovely target for the other half.

At first I was really disappointed in the departure of all the military stuff from the mod.  I'm enjoying it now without it.

 

With that said, what do I want to see.

 

Well as a play on your mini bag idea.  what about a random piece of loot?  Could be helpful, might be a hinderance.  It doesn't have to happen every time you respawn, but getting lucky every once and a while to make something spawn in your inventory would be a nice surprise.  Maybe take that a step further and tie it to a system that rewards you for helping others.  Nothing overpowering mind you.  Just something to change it up.

 

I'd like to see fish and sharks!

I know it is Alpha and most of these will be added, or are going to be fixed, or are being fixed. Regardless, the following:

 

- The silly "How I feel" text system removed, it doesn't work, it's annoying, looks terrible. Just use the DayZ Mod Icons. WAY better. In fact the whole eating/drinking system fixed. Eating 30 cans of tuna to get full, then 2 seconds later you see a "you feel a bit hungry" shortly after is just lol. Same with the drinking/tired/all of it. Honestly DayZ mod was fine.

 

- Fix the loot spawns. It's bad when people win because they either  A.) Got there when the server restarted, therefore have complete reign on all loot, or B.) Server hop to get the same results. Loot needs to spawn more often, and should be relevant (Hospitals have medical supplies) etc

 

- Zombies dying quicker than taking 30 swings with a bat. It makes the weapon useless. You take more damage then dish out. The whole melee system is pretty bad to be honest.

 

- More player capacity per server. The map is gigantic, and there is only like 40-60 players per server? Rust has like 1000 I heard, and is even pushing for more. (I could be wrong & not saying I would want 1000, just more)

 

- Vehicles/Base building/EPOCH stuff (currency/towns w/vendors)

 

- A measurable day/night time rotation. Also listed in the server info. Right now like 90 percent of the servers are dark, and 10 percent are day. There should be a way to distinguish which is what.

 

- In game chat system fixed. People sound incoherent most of the time.

 

- As mentioned above, an Auto-run system.

Zombies missing limbs

Don't tell me the fat people and kids escaped the apocalypse. Just wouldn't happen.

I'd also like to see more building redesigned like the Cherno hotel. I go there just to look at how creepy it is. Wish more were like that.

I would like more holsters like, hip, thigh, shoulder, and ankle holsters, with their own pros and drawbacks.

 

Such as the shoulder and chest holsters should hold some mags and have a medium length draw time, the hip/thigh should have a quick draw time and not hold extra mags and the ankle should be generally hidden from view under pants and/or boots and cannot be seen or looted from an unconscious body unless the clothing covering it is removed first, the drawback to the ankle holster is that it should require the user to be crouched and maybe it could only hold smaller pistols after more are introduced. 

Also the sawn-off shotgun should count as a pistol and you should be able to saw off the mosin into an Obrez pistol :D

For me the mod added a lot of cool features, I like a lot of the ideas in Project Zomboid which would be cool to have in DayZ  I.e

 

  • fortifying buildings with hammers and nails, (PZ)

 

  • putting sheets up at the windows (PZ)

 

  • farming, seeds tools etc, being able to live off the land and be self sufficient (PZ)

 

  • crafting water butts that fill when it rains, used for drinking and growing crops (PZ)

 

some others:

 

natural resources - oil wells (crafting distillation equipment for petrol for vehicles), Wood, Stone, (for construction)

 

guilds/clans - territory ownership and the claim to the resources within those territories

 

in depth character creation, weight/height/occupation/traits etc.

Implementing buildings such as in DayZ epoch would really make the game feel more about being in a group and building a 'safe' area.

Sry but FUCK NPC'S as Rocket has said the game should remain to be player created experiences adding that kinda stuff is just not for this game, make your own trade city with some friends and some friendlies that you meet hopefully when basebuilding is in that kinda think will be possible.
