Has Rocket/any Dev addressed on chars. wiping and spawning on the coast?

Yes I know it's alpha, I'm more than happy with the game and am greatly enjoying playing the alpha, but I'm not going to play anymore until I stop losing my character. Every single day I've had my character wiped and has respawned on the coast (twice yesterday). So the game is pretty much unplayable. I'm just wondering if anyone has seen an ETA on the fix or anything?

Exit the server and join another one; that always restores my character

Player data will be reset occasionally and when needed.

The Team do their best to avoid this if possible and understand the frustration it causes.

Yesterdays patch included some security fixes and is more than likely the cause.

It's not the character wipe. I've lost like a dozen characters this way.

Yes. But there is another problem which is resetting characters outside of the "normal" resets. If you play on a server before it gets white listed or when it loses a DB connection, you will lose your progress: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/155698-serious-database-issue-bug/

Also I don't think a lot of people are understanding what I was saying, I know yesterday he killed everyone. I'm saying I've had my char wiped every single day, sometimes twice, I know it's a known bug that is effecting a lot of players, I was just wondering if he had an ETA. Now I know that it looks like you can avoid this by staying on the same server so that's good to know.

I've currently got it as a higher priority issue on the bug tracker.

The developers are aware of the situation and it's being looked at.
