In perfect health, fully geared, every possible thing you would want.

Running through a forest casually, and my guy makes a pain noise, and falls to the ground with a black screen You are dead.

Dead instantly...

 

So, that really sucks.

 

Pretty sure the new security patch didn't work, and the hackers just killed everyone on the server.

 

Just posting it here to let anyone who might want to look into it know.

 

Edit: No gunshots, no indication of human life... Aliens...?

Dunno, if he heard the pain noise, he would have heard the shot. We don't have sniper rifles in the game yet as far as i know, and he would have definitely heard an m4 or mosin shot being fired.

 

Maybe it's the rock bug again? In the mod, sometimes you would get randomly "attacked" by a rock whould would break your legs. That may explain the pain sound?

Ehh gun shots are buggy right now.  It's very possible that he got shot by a mosin from long range.

Not discounting the possibility of being shot, I did hear someone opening a soda can 10 mins before then...

 

I think it should at least provide you with how you were killed, so if you did happen to get sniped from the moon, or eaten by an invisible mountain lion, or get sucked into a blackhole.. you won't claim hacker, lol.

I don't usually make conclusions, just at the time... 

 

• Out in the middle of nowhere.
• Low population server.
• Far away from civilization.
• No gunshot noises.
• And I did spend a year running a DayZ Mod server, in which hackers would commonly click the kill all button... So I'm war torn from that, lol.

There is a suppresor for the M4, I had one when the character wipe happened.  Don't know if it actually reduces the sound of the gunshot or if it just reduces the muzzle flash.  It did say it reduced the sound in the description.

You don't need to hear every gun shot..I keep hearing cans opening a ppl drinking yet, theres no1 around me...

Unless there's more people with the same problem on the same server at the same time. I don't see a reason why a hacker would kill just you.

I've randomly died at full health twice today, once while climbing a ladder and the other time I was in a windowless room sorting my gear, left re menu took one step and instant "you are dead"

Full blood, drink and hunger, no one in front of me in the only possible entrance

Yup, just happened to me again...

I spawned in, ran up into the forest where that castle is.

 

Was looting stuff on one of the floors, and suddenly... You are dead.. with pain noise.

(this is a different server).

 

Seems like it may be a building/object collision issue...

Just saying, I wouldn't be surprised if that is a common cause at the moment due to all the holes currently...

I don't think it was an hacker, they can't control you anymore , it's not dayz mod
