Open cans with other sharp objects

It's really annoying that we can only open cans with a can opener or screwdriver. If I was surviving in an apocalypse and I had an axe, I would definitely be able to open a can of beans. 

 

We should be able to use all sharp objects to open cans like the kitchen knife, both axes, even the bayonet and shovel are sharp enough to easily open a can without losing the food.

 

It's just frustrating to be dying of starvation while I have cans of food that I can't open.

I will go outside and take a video right now of me opening a can of baked beans with a shovel if you want. It is very practical. Its sharp enough to open. Granted you would probably lose some like the axe but still....

I agree, though you could just poke a hole in the can, with the sharp point of the axe, and suck it all out without loosing anything.
