Love the head mounted torch.




Battered this guy to death with a fire extinguisher after he wanted to play fisticuffs at Balota.





Being able to get around with the head torch and have a weapon equipped means no need for gamma whoring and for me it is dayz at it's best. Now where are the goddamn flares at Rocket... please.

Flares and multi-colored chemlights should be priority. We're 2 days(?) into release and I've not yet had a single flare/chemlight party.

The Party Wolf inside me is vommiting at the idea of this not happening for another 2 days.

Yeah, I was saying on the Skype chat last night how much I've enjoyed playing in the dark, and how much of an advantage you can have if you're sparing with the flashlight/headtorch and can move quickly and quietly. Last night I watched three players walk no more than 5 feet past me without suspecting a thing (until I shouted ABLOOOGYWOOGYWOOGYWOO at the top of my voice in direct chat...) - if you're observant, you can see other players coming a mile off, and I like the caution/anticipation that brings.

All they need to do now is lock down the gamma and brightness. Think about it, what is the point in torches and head torches otherwise?

Is this how dark it is supposed to be? From what I've seen in screenshots and on streams it gets dark, but not there is still some visibility without a flashlight or headlamp. 

 

I spawned into a server last night and couldn't even see the lines on the road without my flashlight out.
