A friend and I were playing today and we came across another player in a market with no weapons I felt bad and since I had a pistol and a rifle I gave him my pistol and some food and stuff as did my friend he didn't fire on us and was being friendly. Later on in the same city my friend and I went out into the woods and he needed to afk a second and the other guy was nowhere to be seen, somehow he circled in behind us in the wood and came up behind me to kill me, just randomly I looked right a little bit and saw him just as he unloaded 11 bullets in my direction from only about 2 feet away as I started side stepping and unloaded with my rifle taking him down. I didn't think it was the same person at first but after he died I got a good look at him and up, it was the same guy we helped out earlier.. oh well at least we got our stuff back plus some extra food  down side was somehow me killing him ruined the mag in the pistol so once again I have a pistol but no mag =/

Yeah i know i gave away one, and we teamed up for a couple of hours till i found a DMR i think he wanted it more than me. And i never gave one away since

Back in the mod there were a few times when I found myself strolling through the countryside with a vehicle full of guns and ammo and absolutely nothing to do with them, plus a tent and/or another vehicle back at the camp site with more... My friend and I were driving along when we saw another dude in a truck. We agreed to form a triangle with our vehicles and trade. We got two sets of NVGs and a Coyote backpack out of him, he got a DMR with tons of ammo out of us. Probably the most successful barter with a stranger in DayZ I've ever had. We went our separate ways while ensuring he wasn't following us to our campsite, and that was that.

 

Luckily I think I've always placed trust with the right people :) With how bad the hunger meter is right now in SA, and how scarce food loot seems to be, I haven't been in a position to give away food, lol. Anyway, I guess the moral of the story is DON'T LOSE FAITH! :D
