Obviously not at the same time but can I install it on two machines?

Yes, just move your steam account between the machines.  They might send a verification code to your email address asking if you will allow use on the computers but thats about it.

Yessir.

 

It's compatible on as many machines that you can download it on.

 

However, only one machine can play at a time.
