Suggestion: Flashlight/Torches/Lanterns

Recommended Posts

Just a minor suggestion, don't know if its 'realistic' with the current model of flashlights in DayZ, but something I do in Real life when I have a flashlight and need area rather than distance is to remove the 'cap' on the flashlight (easiest with Maglites) and it becomes a sort of torch (that might confuse some of the 'Higher' English speakers) by exposing the bulb.  Just a sort of another option for current flashlights (Replace/Remove Lens) to make it a weaker lantern.

Also I don't know if these are in widespread use around Europe but perhaps a Railway Lantern.  The one I have (which is simular to the one bellow) has 3 settings, flashlight, lantern, bright.

I know that.  Im  suggesting alternatives.  In the mod I would use a chemlight to see the loot around me when scavenging at night.  Just suggesting another type of lantern (the railway one) and a means of lighting up a small area of low light around the player rather than the 'tiny cone of daylight' we have now.
