Character stuck in a near dead state, cant respawn nor die

Hey everyone!

Sine I did not find any threads corresponding to my topic, I decided to open my first ever thread on the forums.

I was scavenging in-land when my toon went unconscious and died of thirst. So I went on respawned and everything went just fine. After a few hours of playing I logged out and went to bed. Next day when I logged on I was stuck with my old character, near death and bleeding like hell. After a half an hour of running I made it to the shores and found a couple of guys and asked them to finish me off. Aaaand they couldn't. Now I'm stuck with my near death immortal toon, the screen is all grey and cant force the game to respawn or create another character. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Anyone else having this issue?

Try finding some high place you can jump off of.

Hmm not sure if that would help but will try it!. Two guys constantly hitting my with their axe's didn't help either :D

I believe someone mentioned it has to do with the clothes you're wearing. Are you wearing military grade clothes by any chance?

 

Also - I believe damagehandlers are different for falldamage, so it should help jumping off a building as opposing to being clubbed to death.

Pretty much yes.

I do have a tactical vest and a winter hunting pants on. Will see if running around butt naked helps :P . Also gonna try out the jumping off cliffs solution. Will report back!

Edit: Well running around naked in cherno did not help but I sure did confuse a lot of people! On the other hand, jumping off a tower did the trick! Thanks!
