x3picr3aperx 5 Posted December 17, 2013 (edited) Ok, this is not going to be the most interesting but just something I thought would help make the game a little more interactive. Ok first, when I saw the "You're feeling thirsty" while playing, I saw a fridge in the houses that I went in and could not open them. I don't know if they are meant to be opened or they're just there for decoration, but if not, they should give the option to open and close the fridge, help expand the search for food and water. Also speaking of open and closing stuff, let's go to the doors. As I was going up the stairs of some house, there was a door there that I was able to interact with, only it wouldn't open. Not sure if it was just a bug, since the game is on Alpha early release, however if this isn't a bug and it's just locked, have the interaction with the locked door make the sound of an attempt to to trying opening a locked door, just to let the person know it's not a bug and to make even more realistic. Ok, now this is where it makes this topic a bit uninteresting. I found a pair of pants on the floor in a house. Good looking too, better than the green ones I had on. It would not let me interact with and put it in my inventory. If you want to change your clothes, you should be able too, don't you think? Another thing I want to throw out there, the controls. All the key bindings or however it's called, I don't care, I guess what I'm saying is that I had to go exploring on my keyboard to what the keys do in the game; like it showed you how to move and vault over stuff, crouch, stand, prone, how to walk by holding the shift key. But there was stuff like switching to third person view or going to your inventory, etc. They should list all the key listings and what they do in the key mapping. Also the sensitivity doesn't seem to change when you lower or higher it. When I move the camera in the X-Axis, it like jumps, and the mouse smoothing, I think that's what it was called doesn't do that much. Probably make the turning of the camera a lot more smoother and less blurry. If I find anything else I will update this. But overall, this game is fun. I hated the tease every time they posted something new about the game!! Update: Here's another thing I've noticed that could be bug related. When using the flashlight, I noticed that when I tried taken it out, the action would automatically cancel multiple times. This also happened with the melee weapons I was carrying. I tried to take that out too, only it would show your character in the process of pulling it out but once it seems that your character is holding the weapon, it would switch to using your fists. For this bug, I'm pretty sure everyone has posted something about this. I've already been closed out of the game twice now. No big, I expected this to happen. Now here are some thoughts of more gameplay. When you go up to a door to house, it takes a while for it to open, maybe 2 1/2 - 3 seconds for it to open. That should be faster. Also jumping over stuff should be a bit faster. I would wait 5 seconds just to leap over a small fence when in other times for the same fence, the shortest time was 2...so maybe this is glitch related, I don't know. Also, you should be able to jump and grab onto something if it's reachable. Update 2: Ok, here's something that has been really annoying about the zombies. One issue sure everyone has been experiencing, zombies passing through walls. You go into a house and you close the doors for good measures and next thing you know, you got a zombie clawing your face off and blood is gushing out of you and you're thinking "how the hell did it get in?". I played yesterday and accidentally left the door open, but to my surprise, zombie did not use the door. In fact he used the wall. This issue has been reported during the first two days after the games been launched and I would of thought there would be a fix in the first patch for it. Ok done with that, here's another issue. I would be crouched and pressed the shift button to reduce movement speed and reduce noise made by moving fast. Explain how a zombie maybe five houses down the road, facing opposite direction seems to turn the hell around and started charging at me when I did not make a single noise. Ironically this happens more when I'm crouched and moving slowing than me standing up and running. Tiss Tiss, fix this please. Okay, this is an entirely different topic, one that I need help understanding. My name on the DayZ Standalone was X3picR3aperX, now my computer was acting up badly and I had no choice but to reset my computer to factory state, which means my games got uninstalled. I play DayZ through steam and once I re-installed it, I noticed my name on the game was changed to my real name, which I do not want to be displayed. When I was doing some research into about this issue, it said your name on DayZ should automatically be the name you have on steam. Well my name is X3picR3aperX on steam. Hell, I even decided to try something by changing my name. It's still X3picR3aperX, but it didn't change on DayZ.. Can anyone please explain this?! Ok I figured it out, so problem solved. Kawllie 18 Posted December 17, 2013 I think you should go into Options -> Keybindings and really take a good look at all the different buttons. Should solve every problem mentioned except the fridge thing.

kichilron 8550 Posted December 17, 2013 How exactly do you do that? You need to open your gearmenu / inventory in order to be able to do that. After that it's simple drag and drop, as if you were dragging around files on your computer.
mercules 1290 Posted December 17, 2013 You can do that. Just drag them onto your character How exactly do you do that? You literally just drag and drop like you do with so many computer OS functions. You drag the clothes item onto your character model, just like stated.
