DayZ not opening.

- I opened DayZ

- I don't have the greatest computer so I adjusted the settings

- Was messing with the resolution and the interface resolution

- Game minimized and no longer was able to bring it back up

- When I try to open the game I don't see anything but I hear the music and see the games mouse cursor on my screen

- I tried to re install multiple times

- Verified steam cache

 

Was wondering is there a way I could reset the settings to default from out of game?

I guess you're using Windows? Have you tried restarting your computer?

Are you sure that you can run the game? What are your system specs?

Yes, Windows 7 64 Bit. I'll try restarting now. Also... I believe I could barely run the game, with just over minimum graphics.

Other specs:

Dell Studio XPS 435T

8.00 GB

Intel® Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz

ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series

Hello there

 

try going to

 

E:\Users\3D\Documents\DayZ

 

(my drive is E: yours may be different)

 

open up the dayz.cfg with notepad

 

In there are your screen settings, fiddle with those.

 

Or delete it then relaunch.

 

Also you can try deleting your DAYZ profile and relaunching.

 

That should "reset" your install.
