Is Day Z still fun?

So I've not played Day Z in months. 

 

Is Day Z still fun? I come on the Forum's every day but never really post, just browse through and read everything, I truly still love the game but I'm not sure if it's still fun, and with the standalone so close.. Is it worth downloading it and starting to play again?

Depends what mod you play, i love Epoch but not got the time with Vanilla, i just want to get stuck in the action. Also depends what you class as fun... i like helping people out and building stuff but the real fun comes with hunting people and putting servers in a state of fear.

Wrong section meh, Yes IMHO it is still fun however I am easily amused and tend to go on very off standard missions throughout my evening.

I'm not a fan of any of the mods out, I've tried them all and really dislike them!

 

You can choose your spawn point now in Vanilla, can't you? Not a fan of that at all I must say.

 

I think it's something to do with me having a shit PC, but last time I played it I really disliked it, probably because of the massive FPS drops I was getting, but I really didn't enjoy it like I used to. It's like I don't get the same thrill I used to get, maybe because I haven't put myself in PVP positions like I used to.. I don't know. I'm think im just waiting for the standalone so I can experience feelings like I used to

 

Does anyone else think the feeling is gone?

It's quite fun; currently I'm enjoying Battle Royale due to it being in 1st person and it's strictly about every man for themselves. Reminds me of Hunger Games.

Like S&P I like to use my imagination and go on funny errands and missions. That's the beauty of DayZ, if you have a little imagination you will always have fun :)
