Hello, i saw someone say that they have a

i5 3570k 3.4ghz.

GTX 780. and still cant run dayz, they get 15fps and that you have to be lucky to run dayz, is that true?

no it is not true, the key to good fps on arma

 

NEVER run full settings unless you are playing domi /ace or single player

 

OPTIMIZE the game using all methods

 

CLOSE other resource intensive programs

 

I have ran dayz on everything from shit duo core pcs to some pretty beefy machines, they all have worked fine for me because i respect arma and know that i should always optimize my machine and dont try to run 3 armas at once

 

 

if said person did the above, chances are they were on an awful server maxed out and it was an isolated thing

A lot of people have an issue running it with amazing PC's because of some sort of error. But without error, he may have mistaken his one DayZ window for 10 of them.

More than likely he is trying to run it with AA on full, PPE on full etc etc

 

Even with powerful systems like that it will struggle immensley.

With that machine I bet I could get a steady 35/40 fps with very nice graphics.
You just need to set it up right and have some understanding of how things work.
