billymaize 0 Posted December 11, 2013 TYVM, looked for a bit couldn't find anything. Guess I didn't look hard enough
tommy290 941 Posted December 11, 2013 Sometimes things are buired or search doesn't work well. Happens to the best of us. Good luck in getting up and running. If you need help figuring out the game, there's a couple nice spots to visit: http://mustygaming.com/Forum/ <-- lots of good people and have fun servers with custom stuffhttp://tmwdayz.com/ <-- also lots of good people and they offer training sessions to help you learn how to play, fly helis, be a medic, etc.
TheLastEmp 295 Posted December 11, 2013 Buy ARMA2 Combined Operations through steam, run each program once, then download dayz commander and use that utility to download the Dayz mods. Super easy.
Mayuyu 411 Posted December 11, 2013 I'd wait until the DayZ standalone at this point.Though, ARMA II is a great game if you're into military sim.

TIC 1050 Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) http://dayzmod.com/?About Click here until it says; Requirements:ArmA II: Combined OperationsDayZ Mod Files (Available on the downloads page)Balls My recommendation is get ARMA 2 OA and ARMA 2 Free as a start and after that, download DayZ Commander to gather the files you want/need. billymaize 0 Posted December 12, 2013 Whats the ETA on standalone? I have enough war games as it is.
herrjon 478 Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) Whats the ETA on standalone? I have enough war games as it is. When it's ready essentially. They've tried to commit to release dates before, but they didn't feel it was up to snuff for an open alpha. Don't worry though, you'll know when it's out. I will say though, SA starting out will be bare bones mechanics, and probably more buggy than the mod is atm. If you can't handle that, I'd just get Arma for the DayZ experience. It'll probably be on sale again around Christmas. Edited December 12, 2013 by (TMW)HerrJon
billymaize 0 Posted December 12, 2013 I dont mind bugs, pretty seasoned beta tester never an alpha though. I'll wait and see about the sale bc this game looks pretty awesome.
