Two Computers, 1 network

Sometimes we can play together, then other times only one can play and if the other person gets on the other get's booted. We played all night last night and the night before, with connection problems in between server restarts.

This is usually an issue with NAT Translation.

To get around this, create a shortcut to your ArmA2OA.exe, then right click on the shortcut > properties and add "-port=2350" to the end of the target line. Then just launch via that shortcut to play. The number doesn't really matter, just as long as it's different from the other computer which will use 2302, 2304, 2305 by default. This will change the client port (though it's not documented) and should allow you to connect to Internet servers.

create a shortcut to your ArmA2OA.exe

Is this method doable in Steam? What about for other games? (not to steal the thread from the OP, of course)
